The SIO series of remote I/O modules uses the Modbus protocol over an RS485 communications interface to allow it to be monitored and controlled from a central host. They are specially designed to be used in the harsh environment of energy management applications.
The SIO series has many models to choose from, each module having a different combination of DI, DO, AI and AO, each model designed based on practical use and actual need. They are ideal for use with energy or water meters, and the monitoring of transducer signals and on/off status of facility operations.
Each DO has a relay built in, and allows for the direct control of magnetic contactors. Each DI is optically isolated and is a dry contact input, which eliminates the need for an external power source.
